I saw a Williams item on eBay that looked nice, but it didn't look scale.   I e contacted the  seller and he said it is 1:48 scale.  That would seem to me to mean that it is a scale car, but I am not convinced.  That is in part to the fact that I am not aware of Williams making scale cars.  I thought all of their rolling stock was O27 size.

Without highlighting the item to create competitive bids, can anyone tell me if Williams brass cars are true scale?

Williams made reproductions in brass of the pre war Lionel 700 series scale freight cars. There was a tank car, Pennsy box car, B & O hopper and NYC caboose. They also made another type of caboose in brass. All were scale.
