My mth hand held has suddenly not been able to locate two of my engines listing them as inactive. When I try to move them to active it reads engine not on track. However it locates and controls the other two locos just fine. My spare controller locates all four and runs them all perfectly.Does anyone have any thoughts about this.Thanks.

If you have them in with the wrong engine numbers, they will not be found.
Have you tried doing a reset of the remote?
John, nothing was done to them. This happened spontaneously. Sorry I don't know how to reset the remote
Don't forget if you reset the remote everything will be deleted.... You may want to delete the 2 engines in question and add them back again using a programming track or equivalent. (only have the engine you're trying to add powered) Everything else dead.
But first,, does each engine have the same ID number in each remote?
Cycle remote power might be anther option. or tether the remote to the tiu.(loose transceiver board?)

Yes only 1 tiu and they do have different ID numbers. I'm going to delete them and re enter. I'll let you know. Thanks a lot.
If they have different ID numbers, the problem is solved. 
Delete them and re-add them and they will get their mind right.
