Someday when I am old and gray and have money to burn, I will get to York and would need to know ahead of time which hall(s) is best so I would not waste time looking for trains.  But Iowa is a LONG way to drive for a one day show. Now if York had been in early July this year, I would definitely have been able to do it, as we are going to be in Pittsburgh PA to visit the in-laws and outlaws.  Sigh!!

In my humble opinion, combined with other local train attractions, a York vacation would be worthy of 7 to 10 days of my time. Not to mentions some very good Pennsylvania Dutchy eating!

The first two visits I concentrated on the Orange Hall. This year I visited EVERY SINGLE ONE. Talk about sugar overload - but it was GREAT. You have got to pace yourself.

When my wife and I move to that area (daughter and brother live there already) we will be happy to take in a verified OGR train buddy or 3.

Guys,

I guess I'm not coming again.....Darn it! Turns out that every season there is one reason or another that I don't go! This time my Dad's health is in jeopardy, last year it was my mother-in-law and her health, the year before my registration packet didn't arrive in time.....

All I can say is, now that the 100 York pictures are circulating, looks like it will be hard to get in next time in the fall.

I'm itching to go!

Hi Mike, A number of TCA members from Staten Island take the charter bus which they pick up in Woodbridge NJ just across the bridge.
