Not if the Motherboard gives out. They were obsolete a couple of years ago.
Hope your new purchase has many years of trouble free operating time!
Don you might try Dale Manquen, he is a member here, he may fix ZW-Cs.

I believe Dale does work on the ZW-C, but I'd wait until it needs repair.

One other known issue is an incompatibility with the Legacy control system and the ZW-C.
The ZW-C interprets one of the Legacy commands as "halt" and shuts down the entire system.
It's tough to pinpoint as it doesn't affect all ZW-C's and the conditions that cause it are difficult to determine.
Nonetheless, if this does occur, Lionel does have a replacement chip for the ZW that solves the problem. It's pretty easy to install yourself.
If you're not running Legacy, there is no issue.
