error Lionel #991 Legacy Cab 2 with blank throttle on Big Boy | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Legacy Big Boy and Legacy #991 Legacy Remote Control use to run just fine. Yesterday I tried to get it to run. It turned on correctly with the ability to have start up sounds, crew talk, whistle, bell, etc. But, when I try to get it to throttle forward nothing happens and the remote does not show the throttle grayed out like it normally does.

I have tried using different remotes and get the same thing for the Big Boy. You can see in the next picture that it shows the grayed out throttle for one train and one without the grayed out throttle for the Big Boy.

Any thoughts in to why the throttle speed control is not working for the Big Boy would be appreciated.

That happened to me when I first got the Legacy system, had me really going! blush

It's great fun to screw with people running with a 2nd remote and put the train brake on. No how, no way they're moving until you let them go.
