We have a 3656 stockyard and car that needs some help. The pads have been changed out and the cattle move reasonably well through the stockyard and the car at about 12 volts. The problem I’m having is the stockyard ramps that drop toward the car don’t usually drop. At first I thought the platform was getting in the way, but even without the platform the ramps don’t drop.
Should the platform “float” and be removable, or should it be fixed to the pads?
Are there any tricks to getting the ramps to drop properly?
