I recently purchased a 3rd Rail PRR E-7 in the second run. Beautiful engine to be sure. However, I am having some operating difficulties, particularly in the curves (track is GarGraves), which are all 0-72 or wider, as the engine (primarily the rear truck) tends to derail. I suspect the flanged center wheels of the trucks are the cause. Has anyone experienced this problem? Does anyone have a suggestion for addressing it? Thanks.

I have the E7 and 072 curves and have experienced no derailments.

I did have a center roller which was defective, but functional, however I got a replacement for it yesterday (Thanks again Christopher!).  I wouldn't think the tapered center roller would cause a derailment, but I'd still check them all as well as the rubber tires.

I also don't run mine at full-bore.  With the DCS handheld remote, I generally run it no greater than 50-60 speed steps, using 128 SPD mode (in TMCC mode the DCS handheld reads Speed Steps NOT SMPH).
