Yes. I'm in the process of making major changes to my layout which includes shrinking from about 35 x 13 feet to 12 x 13.

Brian, That has an authentic feel to it, with that whole grimed-over atmosphere. You are really going to make something fantastic with that real estate, I can tell. Every railroad element looks realistic.

Funny you should mention that. My wife and I were actually sitting in another Cascades train in Tacoma, for several hours after this happened. We rode the trains as they're going to stop running along the Puget Sound and this was the day we chose. After 3 hours sitting in Tacoma in our train, we called a friend who came to pick us up and drove us home.

P51, I really like the area with the turn table. Couple of questions? How large is the turntable and approximate size of area your turntable sits on. LOL!  Thanks for the kind words Frank, but I was looking at the picture myself and noticed something I hadn't until now.  I put tunnel liners in both portals, you can see the one on right looks dark but then I saw in the picture how in the left tunnel I didn't extend the liner far enough - you can see the wall behind it.

I've often wondered if real-life trains everpassed so closely to the fronts of buildings, like this, as some of us seem forced to do by space constraints on our layouts; so now, Thanks to you, Briansilvermustang, I have my answer (!)

Does it seem CSX has been doing this trick a lot.    You have to believe in the physics of gravity, time and space , and the RR principle of keeping the trains on the track.

I believe that's the old K-line two pack with a not to scale 707.  I always liked that two pack and now they're hard to find and expensive when you do.  I've thought about making my own.

I "liked" this photo, but I wish I could "like" it several more times.  I think this is a great shot.  I wish I could have witnessed the action in person.    This is an awesome photograph as it tells a story and requires you to fill in some blanks as to what was happening before and after the shot was memorialized in time.  

Where was this taken?  Is this a spur?  It looks like the CN has several cars behind it to make me think this is a mainline, but the track does not look like mainline trackage.  

Was the CSX loco crossing over to the line in front of the CN or was it traveling the other direction and getting out of the way of the CN.

Coach - Actually Tucker automobile production and sales are booming in 1950s Patsburg!  In my imaginative make believe world Preston Tucker's great ideas live and have expanded into a full blown automotive empire

Great scene.  Love the stake truck.  I bought two of them from diecast direct.  I wish we could get more stake trucks for o scale.  Even these were too much money.

Trumptrain, The picture above, the B&O lighted railroad bridge is beautiful. I also liked your comments, you work a lot of hours.....Thank You. I pre-sume your a musician, probably play the trumpet, and when I was in high school, back in the early 60’s, I played 3Rd Horn. I should have auditioned for Lawrence Welk. A little humor. Either way, although there are many Wonderful Layouts, they come from individuals of all ages, and many different walks in Life. This amazing Hobby, brings us all together. Model Railroading, or love of trains....

Took these on Christmas day (only Amtrak was running; the grain train in the second shot was tied down on the main for the day), as it might be the only trains in the snow shots I can get this winter:
