Lionel Standard Gauge 218 Dump Car. This one is really nice. The paint is bright, shiny and hardly has any marks. It does not appear to have been cleaned and would probably polish up to look nicer if one desires. The wheels do not look like they have been on a track much at all. The brass plated pieces are very clean and shiny. It is missing the end gear for the dump mechanism which is available for about 5.00 reproduction but still has the correct small screw to attach it. The dump bed rotates smoothly and opens properly in both directions. I don't think it has ever had a load inside. Both couplers are excellent and it has a nice original lubrication sticker on the bottom. The original box is good, solid and square. It has a really nice end label. Both flaps are intact and it is marked 218 Mojave in a few places. This is a really clean and strong original example that doesn't look like it has ever been messed with. The price is 150.00 plus 15.00 shipping in the USA.
