I read this in the York Grandstand minutes thread....

"They are also going to tabular couplers for 3 rail - if I got that correct."

So then, Atlas will be installing couplers with the hidden tabs like Lionel and MTH?  If so, which cars will receive this upgrade and when will they come to market?  I could not find any info on their home page.

thanks

I emailed Atlas and received this response (very quickly).......

Thanks for your input on desiring tab-less couplers being offered on Atlas 3-rail products. I don’t have a timeline I can give you at the moment on when these will become a part of our rolling stock offerings. We’ll make an announcement on our website at www.atlaso.com when we’ve finalized all the details with our supplier with the same holding true for the 060 steam locomotive, thanks.

I got the current OGR mag the other day with the write up about the new Atlas California Zephyr  Passenger cars with the adjustable length couplers. Now that's what I'm talkin about.

Nothing looks as silly as a set of passenger cars where the diaphragms are a 1/2 inch away from each other . Glad somebody's using their head for more than a hat rack.
