Finally in the new house and while unpacking trying to set up trains around the tree. Lost my manual for my G Big Hauler and ON30 Freedom train. DO those use Lionel or HO Power packs? I am so frazzled can't remember the correct terminology but you on here know what I am asking. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!
P.S. Once I get settled I will be seeking lots of guidance in the Layout forum!

Both the Big Hauler (Large Scale) and On30 lines are powered by DC power packs.They are NOT powered with an AC transformer of the type used for 3-rail O gauge.
Those are DC trains and need a 0-12 volt dc power supply.
Thanks! Now I have to dig through about 100 boxes of HO from my previous going to build it any day layout and find my old MRC units!

Wow so I unpack for the first time my ON30 Hawthorn Village freedom train and it looks a lot closer to S than O. Just another reminder that the O could be anything. Got the Big Hauler G working with it's puny power pack. Same one as the ON30. Can't find my MRC box. Once this is done on to the Fastrack and the real fun!!!!!! Polar Express around the tree under the sofa and chair etc........

That's because it's narrow gauge.
