My PRR books on these Baldwin Sharknose diesels do not go into much detail on their differences other than the prime mover. I'm interested in knowing what the external differences between the DR-4-4-1500 Sharknose and the RF-16 were. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Casually comparing photos, the DR4-415 appears to have a monotone horn, no grab irons around the front windshields, square cornered rectangular number boards, and enclosed front coupler. The list probably doesn't end there.

I believe the main spotting difference was the addition of the lower side grill behind the cab door vrs the 1500 which had all solid metal side pannels. Also the 1600 had dynamic braking where the 1500 did not.
