Presently, I'm running a floor layout with 027 tubular track.  My transformer is connected with a CTC lockon.  I probably have a dozen of these.  My problem is that my feeders (tinned #14 stranded) like to walk out.  I'd like a lockon with studs so I can use ring terminals or spade terminals.  I know the newer Lionel lighted lockons come with binding posts, but call me cheap, I don't feel like paying $8 for it.

I was thinking about rivet-on binding posts, like they sell for the ZWs & KWs.  Do you think the tapped-over rivet would be be flat enough for the underside of the lockon?  Otherwise, I'm toying with just using machine screws and nuts.

Thanks,

Chris
