Just a question of value , lately I got a brand new lionel m1a and seen that the cow catcher was repaired ( epoxyed) otherwise it is brand new never run, lionel does not carry the part no more though does this kill the value of this model then ,I spent 400.00 for the model and was going to order the m1b pilot front for the m1a , I know over the years on some models lionel had some of models with this issue getting broken in transit and then cannot get parts , I like this model but on the long run if I got tired of it would it hurt me in the resale
Thx

It just I get a little OCD sometimes about the condition of a model , I just got back into o gauge and for the price I believe it is a good deal , the owner had it put away in the box and was honest about the situation but in other case I have seen the model sell for like new on sites from 475-up and with new legacy stuff out I can see the depreciation of models so I guess I wanted to see if it was a good deal, but looked for the part and found that the frame is the same as the m1b and was going to order that front pilot to put on, I do appreciate the responses on to see the opinions and feelings on the situation
Thanks
Ken
