Bigkid, I don't think that at this point, OP knows whether he will have blocks. As I said above, he should. I started model rr'ing in 1941 with a simple loop. After WW2, I added switches and a second engine, which got me into blocks, and as the years passed learned many other electric tricks. This was gradual, with no one to teach me. Since OP has more than a simple loop, he's being deluged with much advice and it's a lot to digest.
