I recently bought this book at a really cool bookstore/restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina. It's a thick book, too, with lots of story and photos.

I picked this up a few weeks ago with my wife. We are both from Delaware and love the Wilmington and Western so we had to get it. Great running little switcher. It is a great addition to our 4x8 layout.
I'm sure I, along with many others, will be posting our York hauls so until then...happy rails.

Thanks so much, Jon! Yes- exactly like that! Those look great together! Love it. That answers whether I'm going to reserve some of the Amfleets or Viewliners that are on stand-by. Reserved the slumber coach awhile ago.
There's one Viewliner left but it's in phase IVB(aka Phase VI)- which, to my knowledge, isn't prototypical? Can anyone confirm? Regarding the Amfleets, I prefer phase 3 or later.
Very strongly considering the Superliner Is as well now that I know that it isn't non-prototypical for Superliner consists to lack a transition sleeper(which only came with the Superliner 2s). Per trains.com article by Bob Johnson.
When it comes to command motive power, I'm very fortunate to have TMCC/Legacy in phases 2-5 and DCS PHIV and Surfliner liveries, which keeps pretty much keeps all options open. I've been hunting 21" coaches & Superliners like a hawk and certainly will be at York!

A couple of things. Phase IVB is not an official Amtrak designation. That is a construct of the modeling world. It is Phase VI. The logo and the color of the blue is different. You are correct that Viewliner II's were not painted in the Phase VI scheme. Only the Viewliner I sleepers were painted in Phase VI. However, there was enough demand to warrant the paint scheme on the the VL II cars.
Viewliner I's are a potential project down the road if enough people are interested. They would be done in Phase IV and Phase VI paint when and if they do get done.

Good Morning Y'all. Yesterday I stopped in an antique mall known for high prices. I found a plastic tub with an engine, tender, flat car, gondola, and a caboose. Also got 48 sections of O-27 track. There was also a very old and scary American Flyer transformer. Get this now. All for $18.00.

Odenville Bill : Great find, my reference books put this group at around 1970-71 so very early MPC. But whatever you do...do not let electricity near that transformer

Picked up this custom paint of Weaver NEW HAVEN Pullman Bradley passenger car#1000.
The NEW HAVEN painted one car in this trial paint scheme.

That transformer harkens back to the " GOOD OLE DAYS " 🙄
I cleaned the wheels and oiled things that move. The pickups show no wear. I ran it a dozen trips around the third level. The 0-4-0 is very light. It won't pull much.

Here’s the WbB CN 44Tonner I got a couple days ago. It runs and sounds great for $129. I’ll be boxing it back up and giving it to my wife Kim for the gift shelf. My birthday and our anniversary come before Christmas, so she will ‘surprise’ me on one of those three occasions! 😄

ctr, I love your New Haven DD box car and your blue Boston and Maine box car. Two of the nicest cars ever made.
Some die-cast, a LEGO submarine, and a pair of Lionel 5168 027 42" Radius right hand switches to go with a pair of K-Line left had switches.
The sub is a Lego knockoff for the Angry Birds, the REA step van is an American Heritage Models, 1/43 scale. The remaining 3 vehicles are all Maisto. The black pickup with the utility body is a new purchase from Walmart, couldn't leave it for $1.98. The VW and the TONKA pickup are about 20 years old. Between recent moves for my wife and I and my son and daughter, I've wound up with a lot of the old toys. I've looked at that brown pickup everyday since April, always thinking it looked too small. I finally flipped over the other day and it's marked as 1/48, just like the black Walmart truck. Today I took another look in the box and found the 1/43 VW.
These turnouts look like they're in pretty good hsape but the came without controllers so I'll be looking for some SPDT spring return to neutral switches to operate these turnouts.

It was a special run by Nicholas Smith's I believe. I was going to order one and there was always something else to buy or you know, actually things you have to buy in the adult world! lol But we lucked out with this one.

I’m not sure there was a definitive answer on the controllers, but if you’d like to give my Fastrack controllers a shot, email me an address and I’d gladly send you a couple.
Just got back from York, I found the one thing I was really looking for, the Lionel 6-11333 Santa Fe Northern NIB to pull my Lionel Santa Fe passenger cars. Put it on the tracks and the cab light was blinking out a failed main smoke unit fan motor. Boy, I've seen this before on the exact same model, so I immediately pulled it apart and popped an MTH smoke fan motor in, no more blinking.
This is the one with the whistle steam, which as the smoke gadget man, I wanted.

There is a RailKing trailer on flatcar on the shelf also. Next Saturday I’m going to a train show over in Ohio. I had better take lots of cash. 😄

Picked these up at York. I’ve been having luck with the Atlas tankers the past few York’s and always find one or two. The Mi Jack was an impulse buy in the Blue Hall. I never imagined I would have one or how it would fit into the layout but now I need to make it fit!

It’s tough, but I’d say the R1 is my favorite. I love the way the engine sounds. Also I grew up riding the A train.

Definitely a tough call. Its the R-40 F train for me for the same reasons. I regularly rode that same train and line for years. Both are top notch, though. Now you need to work your magic and find one of those original R-32s with the MTA signage and an R-11/34 for your collection (I prefer the R-34 over the R-11 because with the blue doors, it can be run in a consist with the R-32s as was done back in the day).

Yes,I definitely will look into getting those. I passed up on a great deal for the R32’s not too long ago but it was because I may have a lead on another set that I want.
Purchased another Lionel 52013 Artrain Norfolk Southern. Back in 1992 when Lionel came out w/the Norfolk Southern unit train this car was the add on car for the set.
Can someone tell me what club had these cars made and what was the total production number of them.
