@StevefromPA  Yes the SW1 is new production. Seems like I had it on order for-ever!  My son who was living in Chicago would hook up with us as we were heading to see his brother in Grand Rapids. Once we figured out it was far more convenient to pick him up in Michigan City, he became a convert to riding the South Shore Line. I was looking for a switcher for my railroad - this line seemed to fit as well as any other.

From what I can find SSL had one SW1 #601 (someone did their homework). They later split into a commuter railroad and a private freight RR. Interesting tidbit they were once managed by the C&O.

Hey everyone, so as most of you guys might know from my last post I said that I had acquired quite a lot of stuff over the past several months. However if I were to try to put everything that I have collected or acquired recently into this post it would be quite a lot lol. So instead I figured I would share some stuff that I’ve been working on as of recently and also share some links of the stuff that I acquired running.

I just finished my second Amtrak and fleet passenger coach in detailing its interior. So I’ve gotten two down and two more to go. I also tried hand painting figures for the first time and actually it was kind of fun. I didn’t do it for all of the figures just some of them as I wanted to have black people represented in my coaches.

Just thought I’d attach a couple of photos so you guys can see what I’ve been up to. Works been so crazy I really haven’t had time to be on the forum much which kind of sucks because I really like communicating with everybody that’s here.  The two links are from the Austin model train show and the Temple model train show that I took while with the model train club that I’m a part of the Austin Tinplate Trackers.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Looks good Drewski . 👍

I like the way you have the figures positioned in the windows . Sometimes it's difficult to get a good look like that when looking through the windows.

Don't work too hard.    Don't worry about not getting on the Forum enough...........there are a bunch of us that have OUR  WORK  DAYS  .........on our LAYOUTS . 😉

Just arrived today: Morton Salt SW-1 Switcher!  It's my first Rail King Engine purchase and I haven't burst into flames just yet.  It will go well with my menagerie of Morton Salt 3-bay hoppers.  (An NW-2 would have perhaps been more exciting but it serves its purpose.)  I should probably look for the Factory at this point.
