Thanks Steve!!
Displayed in a place of honor, just above the Lionel "Spirits" reefers.

It is a switcher. Larry's just in the midst of assembling a train to traverse that mighty railroad of his.
Well I will cheat and offer up a gift that I received two weeks ago from a former co-worker. It is old hat to most but represents the first operating car I have. I know: get going here. Have a great day. Pretty soggy in southern Indiana.

Picked up this nice MTH Premier UP AC4400CW to augment my modern diesel power. It seemed a perfect candidate to pull my new tank cars.

My LionChief "Daylight" cab forward arrived yesterday from Ready to Roll in Florida.
Runs great and fits in well with my compact postwar theme layout.

I'll be unboxing it today.
Bogart Neat car. I really like these little operating cars like this one, giraffe cars, horse cars etc. Great find. Neat UP 70ton as well I have one on my layout and really like it. Best wishes.

Just picked this up today at a local antique mall, Not a real big fan of Department 56 on the layout. But I thought it was unique enough, lighted sign and interior plus moving leds on the sign. Still had the original $95.00 price tag on the bottom, has a few nics , but for $19.95 Its good enough for me.

If you don't mind me asking... how much did you pay for that set? And it's in beautiful shape too!
@StevefromPA Yes the SW1 is new production. Seems like I had it on order for-ever! My son who was living in Chicago would hook up with us as we were heading to see his brother in Grand Rapids. Once we figured out it was far more convenient to pick him up in Michigan City, he became a convert to riding the South Shore Line. I was looking for a switcher for my railroad - this line seemed to fit as well as any other.
From what I can find SSL had one SW1 #601 (someone did their homework). They later split into a commuter railroad and a private freight RR. Interesting tidbit they were once managed by the C&O.

To most people, I'm sure this isn't a "cool" purchase. But my wife works at the DoIt Best world headquarters in Ft Wayne, IN. There aren't a lot of toys out there with the DiB logo, so finding this one was a sweet purchase for me!

Any purchasewith a personal connection is always cool.
Hey everyone, so as most of you guys might know from my last post I said that I had acquired quite a lot of stuff over the past several months. However if I were to try to put everything that I have collected or acquired recently into this post it would be quite a lot lol. So instead I figured I would share some stuff that I’ve been working on as of recently and also share some links of the stuff that I acquired running.
I just finished my second Amtrak and fleet passenger coach in detailing its interior. So I’ve gotten two down and two more to go. I also tried hand painting figures for the first time and actually it was kind of fun. I didn’t do it for all of the figures just some of them as I wanted to have black people represented in my coaches.
Just thought I’d attach a couple of photos so you guys can see what I’ve been up to. Works been so crazy I really haven’t had time to be on the forum much which kind of sucks because I really like communicating with everybody that’s here. The two links are from the Austin model train show and the Temple model train show that I took while with the model train club that I’m a part of the Austin Tinplate Trackers.
Hope all is well with everyone!

My LHS suffered flood damage a few weeks ago, so I bought a couple of nice steamers there: a Williams and a Lionel probably made in the mid to late 1990s, some scenery materials, and the Woodland Scenics Morrison's Door Factory.

Looks good Drewski . 👍
I like the way you have the figures positioned in the windows . Sometimes it's difficult to get a good look like that when looking through the windows.
Don't work too hard. Don't worry about not getting on the Forum enough...........there are a bunch of us that have OUR WORK DAYS .........on our LAYOUTS . 😉
Since I can't go to York, too far for me, I have to settle with my local train store and ebay. I just received these for the new Intermodal yard I am gonna be building soon, well sorta of a yard..

Between my PostWar Lionel girls set purchase last week, and yesterday's purchase of the PostWar Lionel beauty shown here, I guess York will me mostly a 4 day social function for me.

Just arrived today: Morton Salt SW-1 Switcher! It's my first Rail King Engine purchase and I haven't burst into flames just yet. It will go well with my menagerie of Morton Salt 3-bay hoppers. (An NW-2 would have perhaps been more exciting but it serves its purpose.) I should probably look for the Factory at this point.
