Concept Layout Using Relay Logic:
I am building a concept layout which will include alternate ways to wire to track, turnouts and accessories. The intent is to make everything "plug and play". I have built several control modules which when combined provide a complete control, power distribution and protection system. Every module plugs together with custom made interconnecting cables. The main control component is the MTH DCS system using multiple TIUs and multiple AIUs. Al wiring from the TIUs and AIUs is made to these various custom modules. This system makes connections and troubleshooting very easy since every circuit is completely documented and all color coded wiring is labeled with tags.
One of the separate custom modules is a Relay Board which provides distribution to track "blocks" and controls the position of all turnouts.
