I've seen some Lionel 18574-135 circuit boards around and was wondering if anybody knows if this could retrofit into a postwar/pullmor engine replacing the e-unit. It says it would run an AC motor... I tried to find some info from the google-ator and turned up nothing meaningful. Any idea if this could work?

Lionel parts says its an LCRU. Early TMCC from the 1990s. Should work in Post War if you can fit it in and provide a usable antenna. Plastic Diesel and plastic tender shells would make the job easier.

The Lionel 18574-135 is an ACDR, AKA an AC motor driver for use with TMCC. It wants to see a PWM signal from the TMCC receiver to function.
If you want full blown LCRU’s for your postwar fleet, you can hit me up for a bulk lot.

I'm still all conventional (and barely running/built yet) and it doesn't sound like this is a "simple" solution for me. I'll need the TMCC board to make these work. I'm slowly rebuilding cleaning dozens of pullmor's and e-units. I've picked up a couple Lionel 18311 reverse units and they run nice & quiet and the pullmor's seem to behave a little bit smoother when they start off - I was trying to find out if this could be a possible e-unit replacer

Pretty much all Lionel engines run in conventional. Only exception I am aware is first generation Lionchief.

Pat's @harmonyards offer of the LCRU seemed like a reasonable solution if they're priced right. They're pretty simple to install, and they'll run in conventional or TMCC command.
