I would assume that lots of us "still have" them, as they "still make them".

Some are too cheesy, most are just fine, and some are outstanding (the RK Imperial

Triplex, the 2-8-8-2 and the UP 49'er 4-6-2 are examples). This is coming from a Scale Guy, too.

RK steamers make excellent cannon fodder for bashing projects, also (they

typically wind up with TMCC during this event). I bought a cheap, solid, well-used RK 49'er (PS1) a while back that has a Date With Destiny (paint job and ERR Cruise Commander),

as I love the shape of that loco, but have no particular fondness for the UP.

I have a mohawk with locosound it was NY&OW.I painted and renumbered it for sal.Because they had some any way it will pull with the best of them.I like the way it smokes. This is no lie I had it pull a heavy train.Started out smoking pretty heavy but once it got on the way.The smoke lighten up a bit like the real thing.Well I like to thank every one here who replyed here. You can see my trains on youtube.Just go to youtube and type in 889ts.That should take you right to it.

My first and so far only RailKing engine is a NYC Dreyfuss Hudson (20th Cent. Ltd. version). Absolutely love it, although I have yet to be able to use the smoke unit as I only have a 30-watt starter set transformer.  Making the bigger engines in a size that will fit on any railroad is an excellent idea; I hope to one day get the RailKing PRR "Torpedo" K4 (green).

As this engine has been released in several fictional paint schemes, I'm surprised it hasn't been released in a New York Central paint scheme, as the styling is so close to that of the Mercury engines.

Although all 3 have been repainted and modified.

The 1st one is an old RailKing 2-8-0 that had Locosounds "Box-O-Rox", later upgraded to PS2.

The 2nd one is a RK Imperial USRA 0-6-0 with PS2, basically just repainted.

The 3rd one is a hybrid of sorts.  It's a RK 2-8-0 boiler, extended to fit a Weaver 4-6-0 chassis.  The Vanderbilt tender is scratchbuilt but will soon be on the end of a Williams/Samhongsa brass USRA 2-8-2 I recently picked up for less than $200 delivered   This Ten-Wheeler will get upgraded from QSI to PS2 and have the tender swapped out with the one that came with the Mike.

The RK Imperial 0-6-0 is a mighty fine locomotive in looks and in the way it runs.

RK B&O Hudson, Pacific, Camelback, 0-6-0, 0-8-0, Pennsy 6-8-6 Turbine, the early one that was listed as PS1 and surprised us with a PS2 sticker on the underside of the tender, and John Deere RTR set just to brighten up an otherwise dark stable. All run great even after all these years. They are mainly roundhouse fillers during the year, but earn thei keep on the office layout at Christmas! The 0-6-0, 0-8-0, and Camelback do fit in fairly with the larger Premiers on the layout.

I have two: SP GS-4, conventional and PRR S-2 turbine with PS1 (near scale, not the bantam).

Both run great, pull well. The GS-4 has a really nice deep whistle. The S-2 has a menacing hiss. The smoke unit on the GS-4 needed service (after many hours of use)as the fan stopped. Forum member Ingenierio posted great instructions on how to fix this and it is good as new after an hour of TLC.

I'm very happy with both locomotives.
