I am having trouble getting to the MTH PS2 Sound File Library. I use the search tool they provide, and fill in enough information that I should get at least one hit. However, every time I try, and no matter whether I specify a diesel or steam engine, I keep getting the "Page not Found" error. Is the site down, or am I not doing something correctly? I've tried more than one computer, from different locations. Same result.

Do not use the Protsounds link.  Instead, the best source for files it going to "Service" link on the left, then select the "Product files and documents" link.  At that point type in product number or type of engine like 2-8-0.  At that point you can screen by HO, Premier, RK, Road Name, Catalog, etc...

Some times a file that is not on the main web is located in the service section.  The service section is the portion being maintained until the new website is released.

Dave,

Looking for 30-2960-1, NYO&W NW2 from 2010. I'm presuming it has the 3volt boards.

GGG,

Thanks for the instructions. I got to a screen with 5 icons at the bottom. Only the sound file icon was active. I was able to download the .mth file. I'm not sure what the other icons are supposed to do.

Chris, THat is where the parts list and instructions would be posted.  If you look at some older engines, you can find the manual and a parts light available.

For older engines, you can also find upgrade sound files.  If it was a PS-2 5V which is now obsolete, there would be a converted 3V sound file that can be loaded in a new PS-2 3V board if you had the engine repaired or converted.  G
