I thought the very same thing. All we can do is hope someone at the top of the train makers shares the same feelings.
Next vision line installment perhaps....all die-cast?!?!?! 
I actually like it, but my very first thought was that it kind of looks like the front half of a CB&Q (Burlington) Legacy engine.
The different color schemes do take some getting use to, but this one is nice.

Wow, that is an eye popper. I like it - a lot.
I like it and would purchase an O version if/when it is made. They did a nice job painting the locomotive to resemble a fire engine. The ladder graphic leading into the NS logo is a nice touch.
I want one. Eddie, you being a rusty relic collector guy should love that.

Actually they are not weathered. They are fresh out of the shop. Weathered wheels would look varying shades of grey heading toward greasy.
I'll plead the 5th on the paint job, but, it is nice the first responders were acknowledged.
On second thought, if the stripes and road numbers had been done in gold-leaf trimmed in black, they really would have had something, but, no one asked me.
I wonder if these are offered as models, the manufacturer would modify a SD-60 to be a SD-60E. It seems the second wave of NS tribute engines are all SD-60Es. Would be nice to see, but it's not a stock SD-60.
Anything to honor First Responders is okay in my book.

Having the same information here on the Hi-rail forum yields 300+ views in only 2 hours and more than 10 replies.
Hopefully this thread won't get moved to Real Trains forum where it will die.

...and hopefully the manufacturers of O gauge trains will see it here, and realize that we want this type of engine produced in this paint scheme.
A very nice tribute to those who deserve it.
Not a big NS fan, but I definitely like that engine. I think the Sheriff's people would love to see that one running around here at the CEOC.
