Help with an LTI GG-1

I recently acquired the 6-18300 GG-1 from 1987. One of the motors must have been installed poorly as the pinion gear has become worn away and will not catch the gear worm from the motor. Instead of replacing the the whole magnetraction 6-wheel truck which is going to cost around $50,...is there anyone who is willing to replace the pinion gear if I send you the new gear and truck? I do not have a wheel press and am afraid I would botch up the job. Please contact me through my email located in my profile. Thanks.
