got my first tinplate steam engine for Christmas but right as I remove it from its packaging a black pice of tin falls out of the cab I thought mabey it was nothing but as it turns out its the floor it has a bit of paint loss and under it ther was some ca glue what should I do to fix this?

I'd contact the vendor you (or Santa) purchased it from and ask for a replacement. My tinplate 262E arrived flawless from Nassau Hobby about a year ago, the good news is that there are still some new ones on the market so your vendor should be able to replace it.

well my dad was the one who got it he said just glue like thay did but I wanted to get to hear thoughts from others first
I would ask for an exchange or refund. This is a situation that should be made right. Have fun.

I guess that I'm in the minority here, but I tend to agree with your dad. If it was glued at the factory, I would just glue it back and forget about it.

Yeah that is true ive thought of sending it back but its easy to just glue it with epoxy that's what ive done know. but I have noticed these new reproductions quality control is bad then the old tinplate traditions im just gonna buy those from new on
