... to replace with Freightsounds or Vision boxcar chassis. I removed 4 small screw around doors, removed trucks and removed screws under trucks from a Reading Modern reefer and still can't get the floor to budge. Are there more screws or is there a trick to seperate the body from the chassis. I searched and couldn't find it covered already on the forum.

Much Appreciation!

Thanks John. That worked for one car but when I tried on the other, the door frames must have been paint glued to the body. I broke the tip off a jewelers screwdriver trying to get the door frame to separate from the body. Is there a way to get the screw under the truck out without removing the truck. Maybe I need better screwdrivers. Much Appreciation!

I just worked on one of my early Lionel PS-1 boxcars.  Ended up finding two screws recessed in the center of the floor that screws into stand off posts molded into the body.   The trucks have to be off to get to these two screws.  Took me a while to figure out why the body wouldn't come off.   And yes as mentioned above you have to remove the sliding door tracks as well.

Never seen a design like this but once those two screws were removed the shell lifted right off.
