IHRT Caboose open for tours | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Last December I posted some pictures of a C&O Extended Vision caboose that was just delivered to the Indian Head Rail Trail in Charles County, MD. The exterior was completely refurbished but the interior was still in poor shape. Today the county officially opened the caboose to the public and the interior was rebuilt to original specifications. This was great news because we had heard they were thinking of gutting the caboose and making it a gift shop. They plan now to make a small train depot looking building across from the caboose to be the gift shop. They plan to have some sort of model train running around the ceiling of this "depot", but they have not decided yet what it will be.
