Received my YLB from Hennings Trains promptly; I am looking for the right red wire to splice the YLB red wire into for power; opened up the Challenger tender;  it has the battery connection for a 9volt; found many red wires to possibly splice into that go to various plugs in the circuit board.  Found the following plugs with red wires with the descriptions on the board for each plug:

J1 Power, Switch/Batt (goes to 9V), SpkrA/SpkrB, PotA/PotB (speaker vol control); any suggestions on which one splice into?  The J1 Power plug is at 11o'clock.

Thanks for the tips.  Separated the electronics platform from the rear truck frame which is 3/4s the length of the tender.  There on the truck frame I saw the wiring of the 2 pickup rollers.  In pic 1, the 2 pickup rollers are connected to each other by a black wire; then, from one of the rollers there is a gray/white wire attached to a chrome phillips screw going up into the tender body.  In pic 2 that gray/white wire once in the tender body goes under the electronics board.  In pic 2, you can see the white/gray wire secured by that chrome philips screw to the pickup rollers.  Hence, would putting an eyelet on the YLB red wire and connecting it to the chrome screw do the job????

Installed the YLB today.  The mount for the 9v battery in the tender is at the stern on top of the electronics platform; there just happened to be a cutout in the electronics platform right below it and very close to the chrome screw for the stern pickup roller (right side in the pic below); much closer than trying to run all the way above the platform to the front gray wire attached to the front pickup roller.  Easy connection.  I know the YLB is working because when I cut power, the red marker lights now stay on for a second - Happy Camper.
