IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!!!  Share your railroad's team track photos here!

Team tracks are a vital part of day to day operations on real railroads.  Practically every type of freight car can be on/off loaded on team tracks.  Some passenger train head end equipment and MOW equipment can also be on off loaded on team tracks.

This week on the Free State Junction Railways's Mountain Division team track located in Loudanlil the Ma & Pa SW 1 has just spotted a Maryland and Pennsylvania 34 four ft. boxcar loaded with less than car load freight.  A red Ford pick up from Jakes's Hauling Service pulls through the grade crossing and backs up alongside this short boxcar so the transfer of goods can begin.  In real life ... These short Ma & Pa boxcars could not be interchanged with other railroads.  They were only good to haul freight on the the Ma & Pa between York, Pa. and Baltimore,Md.  In my fantasy world ... Since the Ma & Pa owns a portion of the FSJR the car is permitted on the FSJR rails.

Lets see what's happening on your railroad's team tracks.  Photos from all layouts regardless of size or detail are welcome!!  Photos of real life railroad team track operations are always welcome too!!

Have a wonderfully fun and creative week!!IMG_4713IMG_4718IMG_4720IMG_4722IMG_4752IMG_4723IMG_4724IMG_4729IMG_4735IMG_4736IMG_4738IMG_4740IMG_4744IMG_4758IMG_4751IMG_4746  See ya next week on the TEAM TRACK!!

Nice pics everyone. Brian, your source of prototype photos is seemingly inexhaustible.

This week on the team track, the last of a supply of cement blocks, made in the "Lego" style, is being loaded into a boxcar. These experimental blocks are being shipped to a near by university where students from the school of Engineering will test and evaluate them. They will try determine how these new blocks "stack up" against traditional cement blocks...

Very nice photos everyone!!

Mark - I hope those blocks pass the test at local university!  Very creative use of legos!!

Brain - once again you continue to find wonderful prototypical team track photos!  They always give us something to aspire to for creating team track scenes on our railroads.   Bravo!!!

Bill T - I agree with Arnold .... very nice Rico station!!

Arnold - I wonder if Philadelphia's 30th Street Station has installed a team track very recently???

Thanks to everyone who contributed and those who stopped by the team track to take a gander at the goings ons!  Have a wonderfully creative and fun week!!  See ya next week on the TEAM TRACK!!!

One of those things where I don’t take photos or have ran out and if I have videos, then I post a video so here is a mixed freight

Beautiful trains, layout (so much space) and video. One of the tank cars towards the end of the train had a smoke unit which I’ve never seen before.

do a search for MTH smoking tank cars.

they are a great addition to any layout, they attract attention.
