I recently contacted Jerry Glow (he's posted a number of times on the ACL-SAL-SCL Yahoo forum) to have some Seaboard Air Line decals made for a project I'm working on.  He does mostly HO and N, but will do O scale for an additional fee.

Jerry came thru fine, the decals appear to be as good a quality as any I have seen (Walthers, Microscale, Champ, etc).  I got enough for 2 cars and a delivered cost of $31.  Here's a link to what they look like:

(click on "Full List") , then click on "(new) Seaboard Double Door".

I have not put them on the car yet, but if the temperature cooperates I should have them on within a week.

Now that he has them designed and listed, the price may be lower, not sure (I need to contact him to find out).

Just thought I would pass this out to everyone.  O scale decal resources seem to be dying out so supporting these guys is crucial.

Santa Fe Express car (as built) decals

Me too!

I can't believe that no one, including PRB, has done the "as built" version of this car since the Athearn O.

Thanks for pointing this out Bob, and Glen if you hadn't pointed out the ATSF express decals, I would have missed it, thanks.  I recently searched for these and didn't come up with any.

Glad you saw this Marker! I was planning on sending you an email after I received them and had a chance to see what they looked like. Cost is $12.50 for "as built" SF Express set. I purchased a Pecos River DD boxcar kit several yrs ago just for this moment! Anxious to see what it looks like when finished.

His prices are fair and the decals are great.

A couple of years ago I printed some decals for use on 2 Seaboard passenger cars.  they came out fine.  Today I needed to print a set with names for Seaboard's Sun-Lounge cars (Miami Beach, Palm Beach, Hollywood Beach) and the only piece of clear decal paper I had was a 4"x5" piece I found in my stash.

I printed the new names, but when I took it out of the printer I noticed some specks of ink and the ink was spotty.  After letting it dry for about an hour I rubbed my finger across it and the ink smeared.  I realized the piece of decal paper had already been sprayed with Gloss Clear, therefore the ink couldn't adhere to the paper

I ended up ordering a 20-sheet pack of clear and a 20-sheet pack of white decal paper, total cost...$40+.

You can make your own, but it's not going to be cheaper unless you've already got the paper.  The only reason I did it was because I have the fonts needed for what I want.

I'm not too unhappy about this, I can always use the extra sheets for making some decals for future use.  I'll still be using Jerry for most other decal needs.
