I have the Lionel # 2133032, Legacy NYC E7 A-unit. The loco instantly causes a short circuit when powered up. Seeking a recommendation of an authorized Lionel Service Station / repair service to get this diesel back into operation. Or, is this a problem that has a quick fix on my workbench?

Just make sure one of the pickup rollers is not stuck up in the frame. That was the short-circuit problem with several of the delivered Acela's.
Thanks Bruce for the tip. Pickup rollers look good, something is going on inside is my guess.
