Let's See Your Layout's Train Wreck Photos

Here's one of my few wrecks. A coupler let go on the freight train, unnoticed (I was running ten trains at the time and had a room full of guests) leaving part of the consist behind near the tunnel's mouth, and the FM ran right around and bumped into its own caboose (middle track).

Do planned accidents count?

I could only do a recreation of the accident I had as I was too busy working on adjusting my subway station to record what was happening. The subway platform I was working on had to come as close to the subway car as possible thus having a more realistic "gap" between platform and car. I guess I got too close as the subway car hit the edge of the platform and as a result all my passenger figures went flying in all directions. Now I know about how close I can adjust things before I run into problems.

I previously posted these back some months ago when the wreck occurred, but since you are asking for photos, I hope others will not mind the repeat.  The engineer of the PRR RS11 ran a red block and rear-ended a stopped UP freight. The cars are just as the wreck left them.

This accident happened in 2006 on my Christmas Layout when I was trying to fix something behind the tree.  The tree was not stable and came crashing down onto the layout.   It caused several passenger cars to derail and caused operations to halt for awhile until I got it cleaned up!  There is train underneath the tree which you can't see in this photo.

The accident is at the end of this video, starting around 1:20... I intended to do an action shot of the locomotive coming straight at the camera, but going around the camera through a switch.  So, I set up the camera, wound up the loco and set it off... and forgot to throw the switch to the diverging route...
