AFAIK.....The former weaver cars that Lionel bought the tooling for, are now being made in Vietnam with all the other Lionel Stuff. They were being made as "LionelScale" for a few years, but there were production problems...so they are now part of the regular Lionel O scale size production, with just the Lionel name. And of course, the price has gone up 20. to 30 $ a car.
FWIW....we stillhave some of the LionelScale cars in stock at the lower price, as well as Lots of the original Weaver Cars
