I've tried to find information on this locomotive. I believe it is a pre-TMCC model. Would someone confirm if that is the case? Thank you.

I have seen a couple of them and they are only conventional that I have seen.
Can you upgrade conventional locomotives to TMCC?
Expand search. Sunset Thirdrail had done an SD7/9 several years ago. They were available with TMCC components.
Atlas also offered a GP7/9
Its conventional only, matter of fact when it was first released had a fairly expensive price tag. Shortly after Lionel announced the 1996 NYC and SP GP locos with TMCC and Railsounds, at a price lower than the conventional TTOS model. Didn't make many TTOS members all that happy, TTOS wound up giving a partial refund to members who ordered the loco.
