Last week @gunrunnerjohn posted last week about the availability of an all new circuit designed writable Legacy module available from Forum Sponsor Henning's Trains @Harry Henning. I actually noticed this on their site before he posted. Before that thread got deleted John explained it was an all new circuit design with a new chip. Since the Black Writable modules are hard to find, Lionel will provide one with Base3, I think this is a great after market for keeping a set of Legacy System software and Multi-Engine Modules on hand for those with 990s. Not sure how much use for the Base3 it will get but we'll hopefully see soon enough.
Well I ordered 2, one for a friend, to check out and put it through the tests. System modules and Multi_engine module were created, accessed, and as expected it worked great. If you need a Writable Module and can't find a Lionel one then I would highly recommend JW&A's replacement module available from Forum Sponsor, Henning's Trains. Not a lot I can say but it definitely works.
