No, if you have a Sunset/3rd Rail C&O #614, THAT is a J-3a 4-8-4 "Greenbrier" and NOT a T-1 2-10-4, which are 3000 class! Lets try to keep the C&O models straight. The Sunset/3rd Rail C&O T-1 2-10-4 is the ONLY correct model ever made in 3-Rail of a C&O T-1. PERIOD!!

Its ironic that the C&O developed their T-1 2-10-4 and the Pennsy copied it. So Lionel and MTH puts the Pennsy boiler on the C&O model.

Wouldn't it be nice if companies like Lionel and MTH when they are building similar engines like these 2-10-4's and others like the many similar versions of the NKP Berkshire, they would make major boiler detail items like sand and steam domes separately applied details.

hello guys and gals.........

Even MTH screw up on the Pennsy J-1's too, just take a look the photos of the model on the firebox side areas where the 5th driver tucks in.  Mth also screw up on the Santa Fe 2-10-4's by using the 2900 class 4-8-4's smaller boiler and cylinders to make the 2-10-4. The S.F. 2-10-4 boiler and cylinder is larger than 4-8-4 is.  MTH's S.F. 2-10-4 boiler looks under size and cylinders too small as i bought one when it came out back in 2001 and when i found out by comparing to the H.O. scale brass PFM side by side which i had 3 of them and it shows and it cost me 1200 dollar lesson.  Fast forward to Dec 2012, I purchased the Sunset 3rd version of the S.F. 2-10-4 and the differences is HUGE. The only flaw so far that i know of that Sunset 3rd screw up on the S.F. 2-10-4's is the lack of data on the back of the tender.  I would know this because the S.F. 5011's is my favorite engine and i seen a lot of photos of the real 5011's.
