I guess I used the wrong forum before. I have GP 30 tmcc with rail sound 4. It was running perfectly the last time out. The sounds are fine but it barely moves. R2lc was changed with on that works, no difference. checked all plugs etc. Oh another thing the lights flashed rapidly. Help. Thanks Bill

How many times do the lights flash? Depending on the amount of flashing, this could mean a problem like the smoke unit or motor. I have the RDG 5513 version of this, and the lights flashed until I took it apart and rebuilt the smoke unit. The loco also had a problem where it would randomly speed up and slow down. Try resetting and reprogramming into your TMCC or Cab 2 remote if you have one. Also try greasing the gears. Below is a list of reset codes and how to reset the loco. It is also possible that there could be something like ballast stuck in a gearbox. This problem is abundant in HO scale. Hope I could help!
I feel so stupid, I installed a signal booster for the legacy and it was off. Forgot the antenna went thru it. Turned it on and everything is fine. I still cant figure out why the legacy locos weren't affected. Oh well here is another story for everybody. Thanks to all who inputted info. Bill
