Lionel GP-38 Shell interchangeability

I have the Lionel Norfolk Southern Heritage Northeast set #30213 with the conventional GP-38. Love the set, but wish the GP-38 was a LionChief.

I've been drooling on the new PRR Keystone Deluxe set #82436 with the LionChief GP-38. Probably going to buy it.

Does anyone in the hobby biz know if the shells would interchange?
