Lionel JLC Allegheny #1650 Zinc Pest

I don’t know if anyone has came across this on this particular locomotive but I have one in I’m working on and almost everywhere I look there’s Zinc pest. Just curious if anyone else has noticed it or if it’s only this one so far. Nothing mission critical yet just detail parts plus one of the tender water hatches
