I have a Santa Fe FT Diesel with Trainsounds from a start set. I obtained from a friend years ago who rarely lubricated his locos. Becuase of this, the pick up rollers were pratically welded to the pins and Bracket. I ordered new pickup roller assemblies from Lionel. I disassembled the trucks and installed the new assemblies.
I am not sure why, but Lionel ran these wires from the opposite end of the truck, via a groove to where the Motor screws into the truck. These is a slot in the frame that I chose to utilize instead. While have both front and rear trucks apart, I lubricated worm and nylon gears.
Upon completion, I placed on track to test. The Switch underneath was set to no sounds. Engine ran fine however, horn sounded a few times during operation. I switched switch over to trainsounds, and placed on track. After powering up track, the green light on CW80 started flashing, and not engine does not move. Am I missing something here?
