Lionel subways gone bad

As with any "help me, my train doesn't run" we need product numbers to give you specific advice.

Both of my Lionel subway sets have stopped responding to my CAB2.  One even is making noises when powering up.  I have done the reprogram sequence on both but no change.  Other things work, the horn, station announcements, doors.  Just dead when trying to run them.

If the doors open and close the radio board and most electronics are working. Remove power car from track support from middle of the car, then power up the car. Make sure wheels are free to turn, this sounds like you have a bad motor. One turns and makes noise the other is dead, if you do contact me via e mail for further help

Actually we do not need product numbers all the subway sets with operating doors are identical, except for the station stops the R 17s have different motors that’s it.
