Louis Marx 1940? Sears Store Display unused in original box

Hi everyone,

I am an avid collector re seller of art, antiquities, etc. I have recently acquired a Louis Marx & Co. Vacuum Display Board for Sears and Roebuck. The picture attached is not a good photo (Apologies) .

Could anyone share a little information on this piece? It has never been displayed, as it look new, it has a complete track, and has the original box with the store name, etc...

I am not knowledgeable in trains what so ever, so I really appreciate all the help I can get.

It is likely a retail product from 1960 or so.

Vacuum formed layout panel were popular then, I got a new vacuum formed HO panel train set in 1960 when I was 6.

It could be used as a store display, as well.

Vacuum plastic get brittle over time and are easily destroyed.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. It is definitely a store display. The box is just a plain cardboard box with nothing on it other then the info sticker. And the store has not been there since the 1950s.

I will attach a photo of the only info on the box.
