Thanks Brian!  One of the things I do miss about the old Forum setup was the ability to see how many "views" a given thread was receiving.  After a while of posting threads on this current version, I started to wonder whether anyone was actually looking at these anymore.     But  that "where's the haiku " thread a couple of weeks ago was a nice reminder that at least a few people are checking in each week!

Oh Fearless Leader

Sometimes when you have a doubt

Take a leap of faith.

The Mid Week Haiku

Was sorely missed by many.

Almost took over.

Body hurts to build layout
must try to get done
or Slackerville will not be.

Lot to put in small layout
three trains and trolley
layout is against three walls

Layout is in living room
at one end of room
all the space the boss will give

Three levels it has to be
prototypical?
Not here, more like cluster fart!

Base two feet up from the floor
eight inches between
each level it has to be

Try to work on it when can
got to get it built
no fun with trains in boxes

Get everyone out of the Way
you can't stop a train
you got to let it roll on!

Last three lines by Bob Seger
Long Twin Silver Line
From album Against The Wind.

It's Wednesday again!

Time to exercise the brain.

With Midweak Haiku.

The U-P-S Truck

Brought in another great e-Bay score

for my collection.

Western Pacific

U-P Heritage Caboose

For my new loco.

Four of the seven

Heritage Diesel Engines

Are in my roster.

Three more are out there

S-P and D-R-G-W,

And the U-P Flag.

Scale wheels and pilots

Were quite rare to begin with

But I'm still looking.

Been busy this week

But I will post photos soon

Of the ones I have.

Doctor appointments
All day long for wife and me
looks like a long day.

Hour drive up and back
Wife's Physical Therapy
she's already been.

Regular doctor
next for both of us, then to
chiropractor too.

Again both of us
then she to pain management
for cortisone shots

To Cracker Barrel
for our dinner finally
stomach will need food

Today vacation
day only from job you see
not fun time for me

Hope for some train time
When I get home tonight please?
Honey do list first

As usual comes first
if boss isn't kept happy
no living room space

For layout for me
Slackerville will not get to
be if I'm not good.

Will have to get dog
house to live in like Scott Smith
glad she's got no gun!
