Besides me, does anyone else have one of these transformers? I think that it is a great piece of machinery. Works beautifully.

I have one....used so far on Christmas layouts.......but will be installed on the layout.
Works great for conventional runners.
I went from a KW to the Pure Power Dual. I bought it used and had one side go dead because of a problem with a direction button. MRC fixed it ; I paid shipping. I now use it with DCS and have no problems. It also has a decent breaker that trips if there is a short. I would definitely recommend it.
I have one just to run conventional and it works very well.
I've had mine for several years, no problems. Locomotives do slow down when the horn or whistle button is used. I'm not sure that this is unique to this transformer. It works great with Lion Chief Plus. I have two nice ZW's sitting on a shelf and I'm not sure about using them with my newer trains.

I have one as well. The direction button on the right side stopped working after a couple of years of use. MRC did repair it (for a fee). In general, I'm pleased with it.

I got one used. It looked cool and I liked the analog dials... Very cool. However, when I press the whistle button, the trains slowed down very unrealistically and it looked pretty cheesy.... SO I sold it and put my Z4K back on the layout.
Would make a good accessory or DCS power source.
Again it does look cool.
I have 4 of them, 2 on the layout, one for the portable layout and one as a spare for ???. The slow down with the whistle is a non problem for me, Pre war doesn't have whistles, and in DCS mode for the new tinplate, it is not affected.

I have two MRC Duals as well, one that has been on the layout for several years (no problems) and a spare that I picked up at auction when a mail order hobby shop closed.
I like the amp and volt meters and think that its the best transformer available for the money.

I have two. On one of the transformers, the left side has some kind of a voltage issue that when you push the buttons, little happens... the Proto 1 stuff doesn't like it and the sound works strangely. The right side is perfect....
I have one just to run conventional and it works very well.
Ditto...
