I purchased this chassis off of the Bay from one of the forum sponsors. I know nothing about it, other than the obvious. Both truck assembly's and the most important trons are missing. Other than that, it looks to be mostly complete, but remember its just a chassis.
So if anyone help identify this chassis (I don't care which road name it is) That would be great. Just need a starting point. Also, Can I put a DC voltage to the motors to see if they turn?

Looks like a Lionel U-30-C with all the modules missing.

Of course. One of the first things to do.
I love "parts"; can lead to all sorts of creative project mischief - some of which turns out fine. Some other, though...
The fuel and air tanks indicate a GP9.

I think Rusty is right, the fuel tank should be longer and more angular if it was a U-30-C. My error on the first post of mine.

Just quickly looking at Lionels site, The Legacy GP-9's were Pulmor motors. One reference was made to an SD-40. So I looked at that. It was closer, with the DC motors and the boards, but the fuel tank and air tanks were all wrong.
So I'm still looking. Thanks for the help.
