What kind of trucks are these on this caboose? I was told Timken but can't find them listed that way. I need 2 pair to convert to 2R or some that are 2R. Thanks.

Those trucks first appeared on the Lionel much-smaller-than-scale O27 streamline passenger cars in the postwar era.
They were supposed to be shortened-wheelbase, leaf-spring style passenger trucks. I don't know if they had any basis in reality. If they did, I doubt if the prototype trucks had such a short wheelbase.

Thank you. I knew they were shortened but I may have to use them if I cannot find some scale trucks. I just don't know what the type of truck it is or manufacturer. I am trying to duplicate these for this caboose.

I assume you've already checked the usual 2-rail parts suppliers (Precision Scale, etc.) Try eBay. Walthers and some others used to make a lot of different type trucks for use with 0 scale kits, including some highly unusual and specialized items. I've picked up some trucks that I'm not even sure what they are for. They still turn up on eBay from time to time. Check out the "brass imports" category for older 2-rail trucks, or run a search for trucks or caboose trucks. You'll have to sift through a lot of listings, but you might find what you want.
It is getting harder to find 2 or 3 rail trucks for anything, much less cabooses. That is
one unusual GN caboose and the first time this caboose fan ever saw a picture of it.
Looks like a takeoff on some of the Monon cabooses.

It's hard for me to tell from the photo but the trucks Lionel uses for their CA 4 might be a close fit. They are easy to convert to 2 rail with NWSL # 8287-4.
Of course, MTH, Atlas and Rich Yoder all offer 2 rail caboose trucks.

That is one strange looking caboose, pretty cool 
Malcolm, I think that those shown by bob2 are probably the ones that you are looking for. I found a picture of the X310 (See this link) that shows the trucks in good detail. 
Bob Delbridge, I think that it's probably a speedometer drive housing.
Mine are common Lobaugh sand- cast bronze. All-Nation had a variety, and Stevenson may have a slightly more delicate lost-wax side frame.
Thanks so much for the help. I thought the All Nation trucks were a wood beam cab truck designed for their CB&Q caboose. I may have to use them though since I have come up empty with the ones pictured on the GN cab. I have found express reefer trucks that are close but the wheelbase is too long. I may try scratchbuilding one and see if that is feasible.
