No RPM sounds on Penn Central F7 AA set 2033290 | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hello. I opened this set up today, it is brand new from a recent Lionel release. Only the lead unit has sounds, and the bell and whistle and crew talk all work fine. However, there is no RPM sound, i.e. the engine is running silent without any engine sounds at all. On one level the silence is sort of nice... however, since this is supposed to have sounds, can anyone help me on this? I have reset the engine and tried to up the sound level and RPM levels on the legacy remote but there is no sound at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try hitting “Aux 1” then hit the 1 (volume up). This should raise the background sounds
