I’ve seen Harry Hieke add cab curtains, awnings, and wind deflectors to some of the Steamers that he’s weathered. My question is, did Norfolk & Western have any of these features on their steamers? I’ve never seen any photos of such but maybe they did. All of you N&W guys please chime in! Thanks!

The N&W did have cab curtains. However, the curtains that I have seen made by HH are much too long! The curtains only come down to the level of the footplate between the engine and tender.
I have not seen a photo with the awnings.
Engines did have the small window on the outside ahead and behind the cab window, just as you see on today's diesels.
