A while back I converted these 2 tone gray Marx NYC cars to S gauge.
I wanted a Pacific style to be their regular puller. A while back the boss gave me a butt ugly, busted plastic Pacific that had been painted in globular red and many missing parts. The good thing was a decent working smoking and chugging motor. Here is the engine, stripped and painted/decaled for NYC. For the running gear and tender, the Flyer junk box was raided. To be different, instead of polishing the running gear as I normally do, I soaked it all in Black N It. I like the rusty, used look.
