i would love to see roller bearing caps on lionel and mth high end diesels would be awesome!

Great idea, I would like to see engines with Legacy and DCS, now that would be useful.
Just another detail part to fall off in shipping or while running on the layout. Then you have to get replacement parts, and keep them lubed. Can you imagine all the people wanting to return their new engine because of this detail part. I just don't see them doing it with existing side frames.
There are always improvements, and that would be a nice improvement to the look and all. But I am quite pleased with recent both Lionel Legacy and MTH Premier diesels. Both companies, particular with their recent E9/E8s, are just making superb locos.
