Black and white pictures I like it some times more.
You can do so many fun things with light your layout is different every time
Edwin, you are so much more than a model train enthusiast. You are an artist that works with trains as a medium. I really like your trees, they add a great deal realism to your layout. How did you make them so detailed?
Thanks for posting.
The trees I did was very difficult to make some a bought but if you want realism I make a lot of pictures of trees I was in the states in Californië and I like those trees over there especially the color of the big one's.
I tried my best to copy them but I also use in the forest small twigs or what ever I find to make trees.
Thanks Orrin but I have so many pictures also more of trees and I go to make better pictures with better light and what I saw above of Moonson also very good trees.
Those pictures is sun light I alway's wait for the best light.
I still working on the little On3 track it is not so large as the standerd gauge but I like it to have it in my layout and one picture of the yard.
I love your SP 0-6-0 Yard Goat. Could you post more pictures of that engine?
I have always dreamt about owning one, but could never find one or afford it when one was available.
I like the SP also I bought it 7 years ago and weather it with floquil paint but it was never finished because I want to super the model more correct plumbing on the side by the wheels but I have a lot of projects
to do so still it is what it is. There is one picture before the weathering. If you want more pictures please let me know.
Ya don't need to do a thing more to that engine. It couldn't be more perfect!
Thank you. That was perfect.
I bought a car MTS brass he did not so mutch I think in O scale cars this one is a Chlorine Gas Tank Car PRR. I think also this one is very rare or there are other roads beside PRR.
I like this one very mutch awesome car of course I go to weather this one.
Better pictures of the PRR Chlorine Tank Car
I found this one on internet of Chlorine gas tank car looks like new.
One of my best ever still the 3-unit turbines this one is the overland models second run I'm going to modify this one with more detail on it and to weather number 30.
I have a lot of pictures collected over the years so I know what to do I'm a Union Pacific guy but I also like other roads.
If you have pictures from number 30 please do.
Just amazing Edwin! Keep ‘em coming!
I like those structures what is done many many years ago this one is from Precision Scale, this is the first weathering still not finished I want to do more with more rust. I hope to find more pictures about those water towers to see how they were.
Edwin, we have an old saying in modeling'.. "THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS". And you sure have him in your beautiful work'...
Thanks it is a lot of fun to make this and it is never finished because there is always something to do. O scale is the best scale what I like and of course big locomotives. I will do more pictures in time.
I know I have send mutch of the rocks but I hope this view you like it.
ED3945, your rock work is exquisite. It looks better than “real”. It would be great if you could share a tip or two on material, technique and coloring. Appreciate any help you can provide for us “ham-handed” beginners.
That rock work is just gorgeous!
Soon pictures about the rocks, I have a lot of pictures how I build this and what for materials I use. It’s great to share this.
I now have a lot of pictures how I did it of course the first thing many people do is play with wood to create a specific structure as you wish. I uses rolls of leg plaster to get a certain shape than Bragdon Enterprices Latex Rubber Rock Molds the best there is. I also use hammer and chisel to get more refinement the colors that is always what you like I used water colors and find sand colors very beautiful the rocks that you see are just three colors that are applied very water-wise. I look closely at real pictures and been 2 years ago in the USA made hundreds of photos of rocks, you have everything over there.
of course more
It was a lot of fun to build this I'm not easily satisfied but there will be come more trees on this piece of the layout.
In time the colors you applied become lighter and much more beautiful, at first they appear dark and you are shocked but the next day you are happy.
